The VALUE COLLECTION KP76132 is a heavy hex nut threaded to a 3/4-10 UNC specification and manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. Heavy hex nuts carry a larger across-flats dimension than standard hex nuts, providing greater bearing surface and improved wrench engagement under load. Grade 316 stainless steel adds molybdenum to its alloy content, improving resistance to chlorides and corrosive process environments compared to Grade 304. This nut is used by industrial maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors in applications where corrosion resistance is a primary concern.
This heavy hex nut is suited for use in marine, chemical processing, food service, and coastal construction environments where exposure to moisture, salt, or mild chemicals demands a corrosion-resistant fastener. The right-hand thread direction is compatible with standard UNC fastener assemblies. At 1-1/4 inches across the flats and 47/64 inch in height, it fits within standard heavy hex dimensional tooling for 3/4-inch fastener systems.

Installation is performed by mechanical contractors, pipefitters, or maintenance technicians using standard 1-1/4 inch hex tooling. Inspect mating threads for damage or contamination before assembly. Apply anti-seize compound rated for stainless steel if the joint may require future disassembly, as stainless fasteners are susceptible to galling under high torque without lubrication. Follow applicable mechanical codes and project specifications for torque requirements.
