The VALUE COLLECTION ICP75505H is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI insert code CCMT21.50.5 and ISO code CCMT060202, it features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance and a 7-degree relief angle. The insert carries a TiN (titanium nitride) coating under grade TCN55, which improves surface hardness and wear resistance during turning operations. With a 0.008 inch corner radius and a 1/4 inch inscribed circle, it suits finishing and light semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances are required. Installation is by screw-clamp holding method.
This insert is suited for turning operations on workpiece materials classified under ISO material groups M and P, covering stainless steels and carbon and alloy steels. It fits toolholders accepting CCMT-style inserts with a 0.110 inch hole diameter and screw-clamp retention. Typical applications include external turning, facing, and profiling on production and job-shop lathes. The chip breaker style T promotes efficient chip control during continuous cuts. Each insert is sold individually but must be ordered in multiples of 10.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit insert for CCMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch inscribed circle insert with a 0.110 inch mounting hole, conforming to ANSI designation CCMT21.50.5 and ISO designation CCMT060202.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician using the appropriate Torx or hex key for the clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the pocket and confirm the screw is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specification before resuming cutting. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris that could affect seating and runout.
