The VALUE COLLECTION ICP62125D is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI insert code VBMT332 and ISO code VBMT160408, this insert features a 35-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance angle of 5 degrees. The Al2O3 (aluminum oxide) ceramic coating improves wear resistance and thermal stability during cutting operations. With a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch corner radius, this insert suits fine-to-medium finishing passes. It is held in place by a screw-lock method and is intended for use by machinists and toolroom technicians on production turning applications.

This insert is suited for turning operations on non-ferrous and non-metallic workpiece materials, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes K and N. The ICP22 manufacturer grade with Al2O3 coating performs well in stable cutting conditions where heat buildup and abrasive wear are primary concerns. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide insert. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before inserting the new cutting edge.
