The VALUE COLLECTION ICP50330J is a solid carbide turning insert designed for metal cutting operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured to the TD8P ANSI insert code, it features a triangular (T) shape with a 60-degree included angle and a 15-degree relief angle for positive side clearance. The insert is TiN (titanium nitride) coated for improved wear resistance and heat management during cutting. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle and a 1/32-inch corner radius, it is suited for general-purpose turning applications requiring a sharp, reliable cutting edge. It is held in place by screw clamping and is sized to the 8P standard.
This insert is intended for use in screw-lock toolholders compatible with TD-style, triangular inserts with an 8P size code. It is appropriate for turning stainless steels and steels, as indicated by the primary workpiece material codes M and P. Typical applications include external turning, facing, and light profiling on production and job-shop lathes. The TCN55 grade with TiN coating is suited for medium-duty cutting conditions where surface finish and tool life consistency are priorities. Each package contains one insert, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.

Installation of turning inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine fully powered down and in a locked-out state. Seat the insert fully in the toolholder pocket and tighten the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque. Inspect the insert seat and pocket for chips or debris before seating to prevent insert rocking or premature failure. Replace the insert at the first sign of chipping, edge breakdown, or excessive surface finish degradation on the workpiece.
