The VALUE COLLECTION ICP50323E is a solid carbide turning insert designed for use on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Classified under ANSI and ISO insert code TD6P2, this triangular insert features a 60-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The TCN55 manufacturer grade and C5 material grade make it suited for medium to semi-finish turning operations. With a positive side clearance geometry and an 11-degree relief angle, the insert reduces cutting forces and minimizes workpiece deflection. Installation is via screw-holding method, providing secure and repeatable seating in compatible toolholders.
This insert is intended for turning operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials, as indicated by the primary workpiece material codes M and P. It fits standard TD-style screw-on toolholders and is commonly used in job shops, production machining, and maintenance environments where consistent, repeatable turning performance is required. The 1/8-inch insert thickness and 0.125-inch hole diameter conform to standard ANSI indexable insert dimensions, allowing straightforward indexing without special tooling.
Designed for use in TD-style screw-clamp turning toolholders accepting ANSI insert code TD6P2 with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and 0.125-inch hole diameter. Suitable for primary workpiece material categories M and P per ANSI classification.
Installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off and in a locked-out, tagged-out state. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the insert seat and toolholder pocket for chips or debris before seating the insert, as contamination can cause insert rocking and premature edge failure. Always index or replace the insert before attempting to resume cutting if chipping or wear is observed on the active cutting edge.
