The VALUE COLLECTION ICP23091A is a square-style solid carbide milling insert designed for precision metal-cutting applications in milling operations. Manufactured to the SD532P ISO designation with a grade ICP55M classification, this insert features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that extends cutting edge life and reduces friction during operation. It carries an 11-degree relief angle and a 90-degree included angle, making it suited for square-shoulder and general-purpose face milling. The insert measures 3/16 inches thick with a 5/8-inch inscribed circle. Metalworking machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments are the primary installers of this tooling component.
This insert is intended for use in compatible SD-style milling tool holders and cutter bodies designed to accept square inserts with a 5/8-inch inscribed circle and a 0.217-inch hole diameter. The ICP55M grade and TiN coating make it appropriate for machining steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials at moderate cutting speeds. It is suited for both conventional manual milling machines and CNC machining centers in light-to-medium material removal applications. Sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use in SD-style milling cutter bodies and tool holders that accept square carbide inserts with a 5/8-inch inscribed circle, 3/16-inch thickness, and a 0.217-inch mounting hole diameter.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician following the cutter body manufacturer's torque and clamping specifications. Ensure the cutter body and machine spindle are fully de-energized and locked out before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for debris or damage before installation to ensure proper seating and runout performance. Handle solid carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping cutting edges prior to use.
