The VALUE COLLECTION ICC50325L is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured in a TPGC triangle shape with a 60-degree included angle and 11-degree positive relief angle, this insert provides low cutting forces and clean chip evacuation. The bright, uncoated carbide substrate suits applications where coating-free cutting is preferred, such as non-ferrous alloys and certain cast materials. With a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius, the ICC50325L fits standard TPGC-style toolholders and delivers consistent dimensional accuracy across light to moderate turning passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers and users of this insert.
The ICC50325L is suited for turning operations on non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and certain stainless and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to primary workpiece material codes K, M, N, and S. The TPGC insert style with positive side clearance makes it a practical choice for finishing and light roughing on both OD and facing operations. It seats securely via a screw-holding method in compatible TPGC toolholders. This insert is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard insert for TPGC-style screw-clamp turning toolholders accepting a 321 ANSI size code insert with a 0.125-inch hole diameter.
Insert replacement and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Use the correct T-key torque driver specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the mounting screw — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can fracture under excessive clamp force. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a fresh insert. Always verify insert orientation and clearance angle before resuming cutting operations.
