The grommet seats into a punched or drilled hole, creating a cushioned edge that prevents abrasion and insulates conductors from sharp metal. With a 1-1/8 inch outside diameter and a 5/8 inch inside diameter, it fits standard panel cutouts in electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment cabinets, and control panels. The 5/16 inch overall thickness and 7/8 inch slot diameter allow secure seating in typical sheet metal gauges. Hardness is rated at 45-55 Shore A, providing firm retention without cracking or cold-flow under normal service conditions.
