The VALUE COLLECTION G-PLG12 is a malleable iron square head pipe plug designed to seal threaded pipe openings in plumbing, gas distribution, and industrial piping systems. Rated at 300 psi for liquid and gas service and 150 psi for steam, this Class 150 fitting handles a broad range of working pressures encountered in commercial and residential pipe work. The 1-1/4 inch fitting size suits common branch lines and main runs. A galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for exposed or damp installations. Plumbers, pipefitters, and gas fitters install this type of plug to cap unused ports, blind off test points, or permanently decommission a pipe section.

This square plug is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, natural gas and liquid propane distribution piping, steam systems operating within the 150 psi steam rating, and general industrial pipe assemblies. Installation Notes

A licensed plumber or pipefitter should install this plug in gas or steam service in accordance with applicable codes including the IFGC and IPC. Isolate and depressurize the pipe system fully before removing or installing any threaded plug. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before installation. Do not overtighten; seat the plug until snug and pressure-tight without stressing the fitting body.
