The VALUE COLLECTION FH.75X72 is a 12L14 steel hexagon bar measuring 0.75 inches width across flats and 72 inches in overall length. This solid hex bar stock is used as raw material for machining, fabrication, and general metalworking applications. The 12L14 designation indicates a free-machining, leaded carbon steel alloy known for excellent machinability, tight dimensional tolerances, and smooth surface finish. It is well suited for lathe turning, milling, and automatic screw machine work. Machinists, fabricators, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary users of this stock material.
This hex bar is applicable in job shop and production machining environments where a ready-to-machine steel bar is needed in a standard hex profile. The hex geometry provides natural gripping surfaces and is commonly used for producing hex-head fasteners, fittings, valve bodies, couplings, and custom turned components. At 72 inches in length, the bar can be cut to multiple finished-part lengths on a band saw, cold saw, or lathe cutoff operation.
Designed as a standard hex bar stock for general machining and fabrication use where 12L14 free-machining steel in a 0.75 inch hex profile is specified.
This is raw bar stock intended for cutting and machining prior to use in an assembly. Appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and gloves should be worn when cutting or machining. Use proper workholding and follow standard shop safety procedures when operating saws, lathes, or milling machines. Degrease and inspect cut surfaces before incorporating into finished assemblies.
