The VALUE COLLECTION FDFNYD2-187(5) is a fully insulated female wire disconnect terminal designed for quick-connect and quick-disconnect wiring applications. Built with a brass contact and a blue nylon insulating sleeve, this terminal accepts a 0.187 inch tab and is double-crimped for a secure mechanical and electrical connection. It is compatible with 16-14 AWG wire (1.50 to 2.50 sq mm). The double crimp design engages both the wire conductor and the insulation jacket, reducing strain on the connection point. This terminal meets UL Listed and cUL Listed standards and is RoHS Compliant, making it suitable for use in control panels, appliance wiring, and low-voltage circuit assemblies across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
This female disconnect is used wherever a 0.187 inch male tab connector is present on a component such as a relay, contactor, capacitor terminal, solenoid, or control board. It is well suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, electrical control panels, and motor wiring harnesses. The blue insulation color coding follows standard industry practice for 16-14 AWG terminals, making wire identification straightforward during installation or service. This terminal is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 50 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation female disconnect terminal for use with 0.187 inch male tab connectors on HVAC components, electrical controls, and general wiring harness applications using 16-14 AWG conductors.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC technicians. Always de-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage with a meter before terminating or replacing any wiring connector. Use a ratcheting wire terminal crimper sized for insulated disconnects to achieve a proper double crimp. Follow applicable NEC requirements for conductor sizing, terminal ratings, and enclosure wiring practices.
