The VALUE COLLECTION FDFN1-250-CLEAR is a fully insulated female wire disconnect terminal designed for crimp-style electrical connections. It accepts 22-16 AWG conductors and features a 1/4 inch tab width, making it compatible with standard quick-disconnect male tab receptacles. The contact is made from brass for reliable conductivity, and the nylon insulation sleeve is color-coded red, which conventionally indicates the 22-16 AWG wire range. This terminal is a staple in control wiring, panel assembly, appliance repair, and field service work across HVAC, electrical, and light industrial applications.
This disconnect terminal is suited for residential and light commercial control circuits, low-voltage wiring harnesses, appliance wiring, and HVAC equipment control boards. It is appropriate wherever a removable, crimp-style female quick-disconnect is needed on 22-16 AWG wire. The 1/4 inch tab width is a common industry-standard size found on spade terminals, relays, switches, and control components throughout HVAC and electrical trade work. These terminals are sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch male spade or tab terminals on switches, relays, solenoids, and control boards accepting 22-16 AWG crimp-style female disconnects.
Installation is performed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trade professionals using a ratcheting or calibrated crimp tool appropriate for 22-16 AWG terminals — do not use pliers, as under-crimping causes intermittent faults and over-crimping damages the contact. Always de-energize the circuit before terminating or removing wire disconnects. Confirm wire gauge falls within the 22-16 AWG range before crimping; using out-of-range wire compromises both the mechanical hold and electrical connection. Follow applicable NEC requirements for the circuit being serviced.
