The VALUE COLLECTION FAC0660CO is a cobalt face angle cutter designed for precision countersinking, chamfering, and deburring operations on metal workpieces. Built from uncoated cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers reliable cutting performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where heat resistance and edge retention are required. The cutter features a 60-degree included angle, a 3/4-inch large diameter, and a 5/16-inch small diameter, with a 17/32-inch width of cut. The 3/8-inch shank diameter with a Weldon flat provides positive drive and resists slippage under load. Overall length is 2-3/32 inches. Machinists and toolroom techs reach for this style of cutter when a consistent chamfer angle and clean finish are the primary objectives.
This cutter is suited for use in vertical machining centers, drill presses, and manual knee mills. It handles countersinking bolt-hole patterns, chamfering sharp edges before assembly, and spot-facing operations on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The Weldon flat shank is compatible with standard end mill holders and side-lock toolholders, making it straightforward to set up in most shop environments. It is typically installed by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians working in job shops, production facilities, or industrial maintenance settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for 3/8-inch shank end mill holders and side-lock toolholders with Weldon flat seats, as found on standard vertical machining centers and drill press setups.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank fully in a side-lock holder, aligning the set screw to the Weldon flat before tightening to prevent axial movement. Ensure the spindle is at a complete stop and the machine is powered down before changing or inspecting cutters. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish.
