The VALUE COLLECTION E1008-YELLOW is a partially insulated electrical wire ferrule designed to terminate stranded wire ends before insertion into terminal blocks, push-in connectors, or other panel-mount connection points. Each ferrule uses a crimp connection and fits 18 AWG (1 mm2) stranded conductors. The copper contact is tin-plated for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. The nylon insulation sleeve is yellow, which serves as a standard color-code reference for 18 AWG sizing in multi-conductor panel work. This pack contains 100 ferrules, making it practical for panel builds, control wiring, and retrofit service calls where consistent, code-quality terminations are required.
These ferrules are used in residential and commercial electrical panels, HVAC control boards, programmable logic controller (PLC) enclosures, low-voltage wiring harnesses, and building automation system terminations. Electricians and controls technicians install them wherever stranded wire must be cleanly terminated into screw-cage or spring-cage terminal blocks to prevent wire strand splaying and intermittent connections. The yellow insulation color allows fast visual identification of 18 AWG circuits during installation and troubleshooting.
Designed for use with 18 AWG stranded copper conductors (1 mm2 cross-section) in standard crimp-style ferrule applications. Fits terminal blocks and connection points that accept a 1.4 mm pin diameter.
Ferrule installation requires a ratcheting ferrule crimp tool sized for 18 AWG or 1 mm2 terminals — do not use general-purpose pliers, as an improper crimp can cause loose connections or insulation damage. Strip conductor insulation to match the ferrule pin length before insertion. Always de-energize the panel or circuit before terminating wires in live enclosures, in accordance with NEC lockout/tagout requirements. Verify terminal block entry diameter accepts a 1.4 mm pin prior to bulk installation.
