The VALUE COLLECTION DTKPBI0-60125P-500BX is a No. 6 coarse-thread drywall screw built for attaching gypsum wallboard to wood framing. At 1.25 inches in overall length, it drives flush without over-penetrating standard half-inch or five-eighths-inch drywall. The bugle head design lets the screw seat cleanly at the surface without tearing paper facing. The Phillips drive is compatible with standard drywall screwguns and variable-speed drills fitted with a dimpler attachment. Finished in black phosphate, the steel fastener resists surface corrosion during typical interior construction conditions. This box contains 500 screws, supplying enough fasteners for a full room hang or multi-board repair job.
This screw is used in residential and light commercial drywall installation and repair. It is sized for attaching single-layer gypsum board to wood studs, top plates, and blocking. The 1.25-inch length is well suited for standard half-inch drywall-to-wood applications where a longer screw would risk blowout on narrow framing members. Drywall hangers, finish carpenters, and general contractors reach for this fastener during new construction, remodel, and patch work alike. The 500-count box format is practical for both task-specific pulls and bulk restocking of a job-site fastener inventory.
Designed as a general-purpose drywall screw for attaching gypsum wallboard panels to wood framing members in residential and light commercial interior construction.
A licensed carpenter, drywall hanger, or qualified tradesperson should select the correct fastener length and spacing per applicable building code before installation. Power down or unplug the drill or screwgun before changing bits or clearing a jam. Drive screws to a slight dimple in the drywall face without breaking the paper; overdriven screws lose holding strength and must be supplemented with an adjacent fastener. Follow local building codes and manufacturer recommendations for fastener spacing along field and edge zones of each panel.
