The VALUE COLLECTION DN7X00800-050BX is an M8x1.25 metric coarse stainless steel acorn nut conforming to DIN 1587. It features a 13mm width across flats and a 15mm overall height. The domed cap design fully encloses the bolt end, protecting the thread from corrosion and preventing contact injuries on exposed fastener ends. Manufactured from austenitic A2 stainless steel, this nut offers solid corrosion resistance in wet or outdoor environments. It arrives uncoated, with a natural stainless finish. Licensed fastener technicians, millwrights, pipefitters, electricians, and general mechanical contractors install this type of hardware across a wide range of assemblies.
This acorn nut is suited for metric threaded assemblies requiring a finished, capped appearance on the exposed end of a bolt or stud. Typical applications include electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment panels, pool and spa equipment frames, plumbing fixture mounting, and outdoor structural connections where thread protection and a clean aesthetic are both required. The right-hand thread direction is standard for general mechanical use. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 5 pieces, with 1 piece per package unit.
Designed for use with M8x1.25 metric coarse threaded bolts and studs. Conforms to DIN 1587, making it a standard drop-in fit wherever that specification is called out in mechanical, electrical, or structural assemblies.
Installation is performed by hand-starting the nut onto a clean, undamaged M8x1.25 bolt or stud, then torquing with an appropriate 13mm metric wrench or socket. Inspect mating threads for damage or debris before installation to prevent galling, which is a common failure mode with stainless fasteners. Do not use power impact tools without a torque-limiting clutch, as stainless steel is susceptible to thread galling under high-speed installation. Follow applicable mechanical or electrical codes for the assembly type being serviced.
