The VALUE COLLECTION DKPBI0-60225DAC-100B is a No. 6 carbon steel drywall screw designed for fastening drywall panels to wood or light-gauge steel framing. The bugle head profile seats flush with the drywall face without tearing the paper surface, while the Phillips drive allows consistent torque control with standard screw guns or drills. At 2.25 inches in length, this screw is suited for single-layer 5/8-inch drywall applications and similar thickness installations. The Dacromet finish provides corrosion resistance without the use of hexavalent chromium, making it appropriate for interior and certain exterior applications where moisture exposure is a consideration.
This screw is used in residential and light commercial drywall installation, including wall and ceiling assemblies. The 2.25-inch length is a common specification for attaching 5/8-inch Type X drywall to wood studs or for two-layer assemblies over existing substrate. Drywall finishers, framers, and general contractors will find this size appropriate for standard single-layer and select multi-layer installations. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per order.
Designed as a standard No. 6 drywall screw suitable for wood framing and light-gauge steel stud applications typical of residential and light commercial drywall assemblies.
Installation is performed by drywall hangers and framers using a drywall screw gun set to the appropriate clutch depth to avoid overdriving. Screw spacing should follow local building code requirements and applicable standards such as those referenced in ASTM C840 or local jurisdiction amendments. Do not overdrive — countersinking past the paper face compromises holding strength and requires additional compound work. Power down any electrical circuits in the work area before driving screws near framed wall cavities containing wiring.
