The VALUE COLLECTION C86376 is a zinc-plated, Grade 2 steel internal tooth lock washer sized for 1 screw applications. Internal tooth lock washers use serrated inner teeth that bite into the bearing surface and fastener head to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque. This design distributes clamping load evenly around the fastener shank. The washer measures 0.062 inches thick, with an inside diameter ranging from 1.025 to 1.06 inches and an outside diameter ranging from 1.59 to 1.62 inches. The zinc finish provides corrosion resistance in general-purpose indoor and light-duty applications. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and general mechanical assembly workers commonly install these washers as part of bolted connections in panels, equipment enclosures, and structural assemblies.
These lock washers suit residential and light commercial mechanical, electrical, and HVAC installations where fastener retention under vibration is required. They are appropriate for use with 1 screw hardware in sheet metal, equipment frames, junction boxes, and similar assemblies. Each package contains 25 washers, making them practical for service stock and small-batch assembly work. Grade 2 material meets standard commercial hardware requirements for general fastening applications that do not involve elevated loads or high-temperature exposure.
Designed as a standard internal tooth lock washer for use with 1 screw hardware in general mechanical, electrical, and HVAC fastening applications.
Install these washers between the fastener head or nut and the bearing surface with the teeth facing the harder of the two mating surfaces. De-energize any electrical equipment and follow applicable NEC guidelines before working inside panels or enclosures. Use standard hand tools; no special tooling is required. Do not reuse lock washers that show signs of deformation or flattened teeth, as holding force is reduced after initial compression.
