The VALUE COLLECTION C650312 is an open end blind rivet designed for applications where access to only one side of the workpiece is possible. Featuring a dome head profile and an aluminum body paired with a steel mandrel, this rivet installs quickly with a standard rivet tool. The body diameter measures 0.125 inches, the head diameter is 0.25 inches, and the grip range spans 0.251 to 0.312 inches, making it suitable for joining sheet materials of varying thickness. Tensile strength is rated at 220 pounds and shear strength at 170 pounds. The aluminum body carries a bright finish, while the mandrel is phosphate treated for corrosion resistance. Each package contains 100 rivets.
This rivet is used in light fabrication, HVAC ductwork assembly, sheet metal work, and general construction where a flush-setting, one-sided fastener is required. The Size 45 designation and 0.125-inch body diameter make it a common choice for technicians joining thin aluminum or steel sheet panels. The dome head provides a low-profile finished appearance on the visible face of the assembly. This rivet is installed by trade professionals including HVAC technicians, sheet metal workers, and general contractors working with light-gauge materials.
Designed as a standard open end blind rivet for use with conventional hand or pneumatic rivet tools accepting 0.125-inch body diameter fasteners. Suitable for light-gauge aluminum and steel sheet assemblies typical in HVAC, sheet metal, and general fabrication applications.
Install with a hand rivet tool or pneumatic rivet gun sized for a 0.125-inch rivet body. Drill or punch the mating hole to a diameter between 0.129 and 0.133 inches before installation. Ensure both workpieces are clamped or aligned before setting to prevent shifting. Inspect the set head on the blind side where possible to confirm full mandrel break and proper flange formation.
