The VALUE COLLECTION C3SRH-2003 is a single-end roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal combined with an acceptable surface finish in a single tool pass. Machined from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it handles harder workpiece materials and elevated cutting temperatures better than standard M2 tooling. The 5/16 inch diameter cutter features 3 flutes with a 60-degree helix angle and a square end profile, delivering efficient chip evacuation and reduced chatter on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A Weldon flat shank at 3/8 inch diameter provides positive drive and prevents slippage in standard end mill holders. This tool is sized for manual mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills in tool-and-die, maintenance, and production shop environments.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling operations including slotting, profiling, and peripheral cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth applications where rigidity and deflection control are priorities. The regular length configuration fits most standard tool holders without extended-reach concerns.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard 3/8 inch Weldon flat end mill holders used in manual and CNC milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Torque the set screw against the Weldon flat per the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or cracks before each use and do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the diameter and material combination.
