The VALUE COLLECTION BVT8CD5 is a fully insulated, crimp-on butt splice terminal designed to join two conductors end-to-end in a secure, low-resistance connection. The vinyl insulation sleeve provides electrical protection across the full length of the splice, reducing the risk of accidental contact in tight wire runs. The terminal accommodates wire sizes from 4.00 to 6.00 square millimeters and 8.00 square millimeters, with an overall length of 1.406 inches and an overall diameter of 0.335 inches. Contact material is copper. This terminal is installed by licensed electricians and experienced electrical technicians in panel, equipment, and field-wiring applications.
This butt splice terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where a reliable, code-compliant wire-to-wire connection is required. Typical applications include control wiring, equipment harness repair, and panel wire extensions where a clean, insulated splice is preferred over open-barrel alternatives. The red color coding assists technicians in quickly identifying the appropriate wire gauge range during installation. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
Designed as a standard crimp-on butt splice terminal for copper conductors in the 4.00 to 6.00 sq mm and 8.00 sq mm wire size range, compatible with typical residential and commercial electrical wiring applications requiring a fully insulated inline splice.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any splice connections. Use a ratcheting or calibrated crimp tool rated for insulated vinyl terminals to ensure a full, uniform crimp — an incomplete crimp can result in high resistance or pull-out failure. Do not over-strip the conductor, as excess bare wire extending beyond the terminal barrel defeats the insulation coverage.
