The VALUE COLLECTION BS27N0076 is a No. 76 wire-size jobber drill bit designed for precise small-diameter drilling in light metalworking and fabrication applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright uncoated finish, this bit measures 0.0200 inches in diameter and 0.875 inches in overall length. The 130-degree split point angle and web-thinned, tapered web configuration promote accurate entry and reduced thrust when drilling through aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. A slow spiral flute design and two-flute geometry support chip evacuation in shallow drilling passes. Licensed trades and shop machinists use this bit for production and maintenance work where tight hole tolerances are required at small gauge sizes.
This drill bit is suited for residential and light commercial shop environments, toolroom use, and field maintenance applications where No. 76 wire-gauge holes are specified. It is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials and conforms to ANSI specification standards. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets sized for 0.0200-inch shank diameters. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with conventional forward-rotating drill presses, CNC machines, and hand drills.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style jobber drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collets accepting a 0.0200-inch straight cylindrical shank, suitable for drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held drills operating in right-hand cutting direction.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with small-diameter drill bit handling. Secure the straight shank fully in the chuck or collet before operating to prevent bit deflection or breakage. At this diameter, feed pressure should be kept light and consistent — excessive force will snap the bit. Cutting fluid or lubricant is recommended when drilling metals to extend tool life, even though coolant-through is not supported on this bit.
