The VALUE COLLECTION BS27N0033 is a high speed steel jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 33, with a decimal diameter of 0.113 inches. It features a 130-degree split-point-style tip angle and a slow spiral flute configuration, making it well suited for drilling aluminum and other non-ferrous metals where chip evacuation and cutting efficiency matter. The bright, uncoated finish indicates a general-purpose HSS grade without additional surface treatment. Overall length is 2.625 inches with a 1.5-inch flute length. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly into standard drill chucks without adapters. This bit ships individually and is intended for use by machinists, HVAC fabricators, sheet-metal workers, and general trade professionals.
This drill bit is rated for use on aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The slow spiral flute geometry helps control chip flow in softer metals, reducing the risk of grabbing or workpiece damage. The web-thinned, tapered web construction reduces thrust force at the tip, which is beneficial when drilling thin-gauge sheet metal or tube stock. It conforms to ANSI specification standards and fits the decimal inch size range of 0.100 to 0.150 inches. Typical applications include pilot holes, clearance holes, and through-holes in light fabrication and field service work.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.113-inch straight shank, suitable for benchtop drill presses, hand drills, and CNC drilling operations on aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Drill bit installation and use should follow safe machine-tool practices: secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and confirm chuck jaws are fully tightened before operation. Always power down and unplug or lock out the drill press or driving tool before changing bits. Use cutting fluid or coolant when required by the workpiece material, even though this bit does not support through-coolant delivery. Eye protection is required during all drilling operations per standard shop safety protocols.
