The VALUE COLLECTION BS2600003 is a 3/64 inch diameter jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of materials. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a bright/uncoated finish, this bit features a 140-degree split-point angle that reduces walking and improves centering on entry. The fast spiral flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation, keeping the cut clean during through-hole and blind-hole operations. With an overall length of 1.75 inches and a flute length of 0.75 inches, it is sized for compact drilling applications where precision at small diameters matters. Licensed tradespeople and machinists working in fabrication, mechanical, or maintenance settings will find this bit suited to light-duty production use.
This drill bit is intended for use in steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and wood. Its small diameter makes it well suited for pilot holes, clearance holes, and precision drilling tasks in tight spaces or thin-gauge materials. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets, making it compatible with bench-top drill presses, hand drills, and CNC drilling operations where a 3/64 inch bit is specified. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional clockwise-rotation spindles.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill bit suitable for use in hand drills, drill presses, and CNC equipment with a standard chuck or collet accepting a straight shank. Rated for drilling in steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and wood per ANSI specification designation.
Install into a properly sized chuck or collet and confirm the shank is fully seated before drilling. Secure the workpiece before beginning the cut to prevent movement at this small diameter. Power down and de-energize the drill or press before changing bits. At 3/64 inch diameter, excessive side load or feed pressure can cause bit breakage — use a consistent, controlled feed rate appropriate for the workpiece material.
