The VALUE COLLECTION BOW-23855 is a fully insulated, heat shrink butt splice terminal designed for making secure, moisture-resistant wire-to-wire connections in electrical and low-voltage wiring applications. The polyolefin heat shrink insulation sleeve contracts when heated, forming a tight seal around the crimped joint that resists vibration, moisture, and abrasion. This terminal accepts three wire entries, making it suitable for splicing multiple conductors at a single point. It is installed via crimp-on connection using a standard ratcheting or hand crimp tool. The blue color coding indicates the applicable wire gauge range for this terminal size. RoHS compliant construction meets common environmental standards required on many commercial and industrial jobs.
This butt splice terminal is used in residential and commercial electrical wiring, HVAC control wiring, automotive and marine harness repair, and general low-voltage signal or power circuits where a durable, insulated splice is required. The heat shrink sleeve makes it well suited for environments where the connection may be exposed to humidity, condensation, or mechanical stress. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and marine or automotive wiring professionals commonly use this terminal when a clean, insulated multi-wire splice point is needed without the bulk of a terminal block.
Designed as a standard crimp-on butt splice terminal for use with blue-range gauge conductors in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or trained technician following applicable NEC guidelines. De-energize the circuit completely before stripping and inserting conductors into the terminal. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the terminal gauge to achieve a proper crimp; do not use pliers as a substitute. After crimping, apply heat evenly with a heat gun to shrink the sleeve fully around the splice before restoring power.
