The VALUE COLLECTION BOW-23846 is a fully insulated, crimp-on butt splice terminal designed for inline wire-to-wire connections in low-voltage electrical and control wiring applications. The sleeve is constructed from heat-shrink polyolefin, which contracts around the joint when heat is applied to form a moisture-resistant, strain-relieved seal over the crimped connection. The blue color coding indicates a standard wire gauge range consistent with blue-coded terminals used in electrical trade work. This terminal is RoHS compliant and suited for use where environmental material restrictions are required. Electricians and HVAC controls technicians install these terminals when making secure, insulated splices in control wiring without the need for separate insulating tape or heat-shrink tubing.
This butt splice terminal is appropriate for residential and light commercial electrical, HVAC control circuit wiring, and general panel or field wiring tasks. Typical applications include splicing thermostat wire, low-voltage control leads, and similar conductors where a clean, insulated inline connection is needed. The heat-shrink construction makes it well suited for installations in areas exposed to moisture, vibration, or tight conduit runs where a bare or tape-wrapped splice would be unreliable. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 25 units per order.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use butt splice terminal suitable for inline wire splicing in low-voltage electrical and control wiring applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC technicians. De-energize all circuits before making any wire connections and verify with a meter that voltage is absent. Strip the wire end to the recommended length for the terminal barrel, insert the conductor fully, and crimp with an appropriate ratcheting or calibrated crimp tool. After crimping, apply heat evenly along the sleeve using a heat gun until the polyolefin shrinks uniformly around the connection. Work performed in panel environments should comply with applicable NEC requirements.
