The VALUE COLLECTION BN2 is a non-insulated, crimp-on butt splice terminal designed to join two copper conductors in a single inline connection. Manufactured from copper, it accommodates wire sizes from 1.5 to 2.5 square millimeters and measures 0.591 inches in overall length with a 0.154-inch overall diameter. The two-entry barrel accepts one wire from each end, and a standard crimping tool compresses the barrel to form a gas-tight mechanical and electrical bond. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use this terminal wherever a clean, compact inline splice is required in control wiring, panel wiring, and instrumentation runs.
The BN2 suits residential and light commercial electrical installations, control panel assemblies, HVAC low-voltage wiring, and general instrumentation work. Its non-insulated design is typical in applications where terminals are housed inside an insulated enclosure, covered with heat-shrink tubing post-crimp, or otherwise protected by the surrounding assembly. The compact barrel profile fits tight wire-management channels and terminal-block cavities where bulkier insulated splices would not seat properly.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp splice for copper conductors ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 square millimeters; suitable for use in any wiring system or enclosure where a non-insulated inline butt splice is appropriate for the wire gauge and environment.
Installation is performed by a qualified electrician or instrumentation technician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit completely before making any splice. Strip each conductor to the depth recommended for the barrel length, insert one wire into each end of the terminal, and apply a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the wire gauge to compress the barrel. Because this terminal is non-insulated, cover the completed splice with appropriately rated heat-shrink tubing or install it inside an insulated enclosure to meet code requirements for conductor protection.
