The VALUE COLLECTION BDNA-C39872 is a USS flat washer designed for use with 5/16-inch screws and bolts. Manufactured from Grade 8 steel with a zinc-plated finish, it provides corrosion resistance and load distribution across the clamping surface. The washer measures 3/8 inches inner diameter, 7/8 inches outer diameter, and 5/64 inches thick. These dimensions follow USS (United States Standard) sizing, which specifies a larger outer diameter than SAE equivalents — making them well suited for applications where wider bearing surface area is needed to prevent fastener pull-through.
This washer is used across a broad range of mechanical, structural, and trade assembly applications. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors commonly stock USS flat washers for equipment mounting, panel attachment, pipe hanger installations, and mechanical assembly work. The zinc plating makes the part appropriate for indoor and light-duty outdoor environments where mild corrosion resistance is required.
Designed for use with 5/16-inch screws and bolts following USS flat washer dimensional standards. Suitable for use with standard inch-system fastener hardware in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC assembly applications.
Install between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface to distribute load and reduce surface damage. Ensure the washer ID clears the bolt shank without binding. Follow applicable codes and torque specifications for the fastener grade and joint type being assembled. Do not use zinc-plated washers in highly corrosive or submerged environments where stainless or hot-dip galvanized hardware is required.
