The VALUE COLLECTION BDNA-9991 is a Dash 216 O-ring used to create leak-free static and dynamic seals in fluid and gas systems. Constructed from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (Buna-N), it measures 1-1/8 inches inside diameter with a 1/8 inch cross-section thickness and a round cross-section profile. Buna-N compound provides solid resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids, making this O-ring a dependable choice for plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical assemblies. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics typically specify Dash 216 O-rings for valve bodies, fittings, pump housings, and refrigeration service ports where a reliable face or radial seal is required.
This O-ring fits standard Dash 216 groove applications across residential and light commercial systems. Common installation scenarios include replacement seals in ball valves, solenoid valves, refrigerant service fittings, and hydraulic quick-connect couplings. The Buna-N material is well suited for systems carrying water, mineral oil-based hydraulic fluid, or refrigeration oils compatible with NBR elastomers. This part is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units, making it appropriate for stocking in a service truck or shop inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for any application calling out a standard Dash 216 O-ring groove specification in plumbing, HVAC, pool, or general mechanical equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, HVAC technician, or mechanical tradesperson familiar with O-ring seal service. Always depressurize and de-energize the system and drain any residual fluid before removing the old seal. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible grease or fluid prior to installation to prevent tearing during assembly; never use a petroleum lubricant on an elastomer that may not be chemically compatible. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for nicks or corrosion before seating the new ring.
