The VALUE COLLECTION BDNA-15792 is a wrot copper 45-degree elbow fitting designed for sweat-connection copper pipe systems. It accepts 1/2-inch copper tubing on both ends using a C x C (copper-to-copper) end connection, making it a standard choice for redirecting flow at a 45-degree angle in potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution lines. Wrot copper construction provides reliable pressure performance and clean, consistent solder joints. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a 45-degree directional change is needed in a soft or hard copper run.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications. It is commonly used in supply line installations, domestic hot and cold water distribution, and radiant or baseboard hydronic systems where space or routing constraints require an angled offset rather than a 90-degree turn. The 1/2-inch size fits standard Type K, L, and M copper tubing with a 5/8-inch outside diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat replacement fitting for 1/2-inch copper pipe systems using C x C connections in residential and commercial plumbing installations.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean tubing ends and fitting cups with emery cloth or a pipe cleaning brush, apply flux, and solder using an appropriate lead-free solder per code requirements for potable water systems. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring water pressure.
