The VALUE COLLECTION BD3277 is a shank-mounted flap wheel designed for grinding, blending, and finishing curved or contoured surfaces. It carries a 2.5-inch outer diameter and a 1.5-inch face width, giving technicians broad contact coverage on irregular workpieces. The abrasive medium is aluminum oxide at 60 grit, a medium-grade cut suited to stock removal and surface prep on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A 1/4-inch shank mounts directly into standard die grinders and rotary tools. Maximum rated speed is 25,000 RPM. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians use this wheel for weld blending, deburring, and surface conditioning tasks where a rigid grinding disc cannot follow the part geometry.
This flap wheel fits common production and maintenance grinding applications including weld seam blending, edge deburring, and interior bore finishing. The 60-grit aluminum oxide construction handles moderate material removal on steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar metals. Its shank-mount design makes it practical for use with handheld die grinders in both shop and field settings. The non-interleaved flap arrangement keeps abrasive contact consistent across the face width during operation.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch shank, suitable for grinding and finishing applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metal workpieces.
Mounting is performed by inserting the 1/4-inch shank into a collet-equipped die grinder and tightening securely before operation. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 25,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before starting. Inspect the flap wheel for damage or loose abrasive segments prior to each use and replace immediately if any defect is found. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required during operation per standard shop safety practice.
