The VALUE COLLECTION BD3260 is a mounted flap wheel designed for precision surface finishing, deburring, and blending on metal, wood, and composite materials. The wheel features an aluminum oxide abrasive coating rated at 120 grit, placing it in the fine grade category for smooth finishing passes. It mounts via a 1/4-inch shank for use in die grinders, drill presses, and rotary tools. With a maximum operating speed of 30,000 RPM, it suits high-speed rotary applications where consistent material removal and surface preparation are required. Machinists, fabricators, and finishing technicians are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This flap wheel is suited for internal diameter finishing, contoured surface work, and edge blending in both shop and field settings. The 1-1/2-inch outside diameter and 1/2-inch face width make it appropriate for moderate-access areas such as pipe interiors, weld seams, and machined bores. The coated abrasive construction allows the wheel to conform slightly to irregular surfaces, making it effective in applications where a rigid grinding wheel would leave uneven results. It is commonly used in metal fabrication, automotive bodywork prep, and general maintenance environments.
Designed for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and drill presses fitted with a 1/4-inch collet or chuck capable of accommodating a 1/4-inch shank accessory.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or technician familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Ensure the host tool is powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the flap wheel. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum rating marked on this wheel — operating above rated speed is a safety hazard. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and discard any wheel showing signs of delamination or shank deformation.
