The VALUE COLLECTION BD3254 is a mounted flap wheel designed for precision surface finishing, blending, and deburring on metal and other hard materials. The wheel uses aluminum oxide abrasive in a coated configuration rated at medium grade with 60 grit, making it effective for moderate material removal and surface preparation. A 1/4-inch shank mounts directly into a die grinder or rotary tool, and the wheel is rated to a maximum of 30,000 RPM. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians reach for this type of wheel when working in tight bores, slots, or contoured surfaces where rigid grinding wheels cannot reach.
This mounted flap wheel is suited for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in both shop and field environments. The 1-inch diameter and 1-inch face width make it well matched to internal diameter finishing, tube end blending, and weld seam cleanup in confined spaces. It is a common choice in maintenance, repair, and fabrication settings where a die grinder is the primary tool. The medium-grade aluminum oxide abrasive provides a balance between cut rate and surface finish quality.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary tools in shop fabrication, maintenance, and repair applications.
Installation is performed by inserting the 1/4-inch shank into a compatible collet and tightening securely before operation. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum rating of the wheel before use. Always wear appropriate eye protection and inspect the wheel for damage prior to each use. Power down and disconnect the tool from its air supply or electrical source before changing accessories.
