The VALUE COLLECTION BD32435 is an unequal double threaded stud with a 2-inch overall length, manufactured from uncoated steel with a material grade of 5. This fastener features two different thread pitches — a 7/16-14 short-end thread and a 7/16-20 long-end thread — making it suitable for applications that require different thread engagements on each end. The short thread measures 3/4 inch in length, while the long thread measures 15/16 inch. A 5/16-inch unthreaded shank separates the two threaded sections. No flat is machined onto the shank. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians use this style of stud where a fixed fastener anchor point is needed on machinery, equipment frames, or mechanical assemblies.
Unequal double threaded studs are commonly used in mechanical, HVAC, and industrial equipment installations where bolted connections require different thread engagements at each end. The mixed thread pitch design — coarse on the short end and fine on the long end — allows the installer to thread one end permanently into a tapped hole while securing a nut or component on the opposite end. This configuration is typical in equipment panels, compressor mounting, and structural mechanical fastening scenarios. Sold in packages of 25 units.
Designed as a standard-profile unequal double threaded stud for use in mechanical equipment, HVAC assemblies, and industrial fastening applications that require 7/16-inch thread diameter with mixed coarse and fine pitch engagement.
Installation is performed by mechanics, HVAC technicians, or maintenance professionals using appropriate thread engagement tools. De-energize and lock out all equipment before removing or installing fasteners in live assemblies. Ensure the receiving tapped holes are clean and properly sized to match the 7/16-14 and 7/16-20 thread specifications before installation. Refer to applicable mechanical codes and equipment service documentation for required torque values.
