The VALUE COLLECTION BD32424 is an unequal double threaded stud designed for fastening applications that require two different thread specifications on a single fastener. The stud features a 3/8-16 short-end thread and a 3/8-24 long-end thread, making it suited for joining components with mismatched thread pitches. Overall length is 1.75 inches. Constructed from grade 5 steel with an uncoated finish, this stud delivers adequate mechanical strength for general industrial and mechanical assembly work. Licensed tradespeople and mechanical assemblers working in HVAC, plumbing, and equipment maintenance will encounter this fastener type in motor mounts, valve assemblies, and structural bracketing.
This stud is used where a fixed threaded insert or anchor point is required between two mating components. The short thread end measures 9/16 inch in length at 3/8-16 UNC, while the long thread end measures 1 inch in length at 3/8-24 UNF. A 3/16-inch unthreaded shank separates the two thread zones. Typical install scenarios include mechanical equipment assemblies, HVAC component mounting, and plumbing fixture connections where combining coarse and fine thread engagement is necessary. Sold in a package quantity of 25.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock fastener for mechanical assemblies requiring a 3/8-inch diameter double-end threaded stud with unequal thread pitches.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed mechanic, HVAC technician, or plumber using standard hex or open-end wrenches. De-energize and de-pressurize any system before removing or installing threaded fasteners in pressurized or live assemblies. Thread engagement should be verified on both ends before applying final torque to mating nuts or components. Do not mix thread pitches on a single engagement point, as cross-threading will damage both the stud and the mating part.
