The VALUE COLLECTION BD3173 is a hole saw arbor designed to connect hole saws to a drill or drill press for fast, accurate cutting. The arbor features a 3/8-inch straight hex shank and an integrated pilot drill that centers the saw before cutting begins. The body and pilot are both constructed from carbon steel, providing the strength needed for repeated use in wood, plastic, and light metal applications. This is a standard-attachment arbor suited for use by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors who regularly use hole saws on the job.
This arbor is suited for use in residential and light commercial applications where hole saws are required for routing conduit, pipe, or ductwork openings. It accepts a 3/8-inch chuck and is compatible with hole saws starting at 9/16-inch minimum diameter. The straight hex shank provides positive engagement in standard drill chucks. The integrated pilot drill eliminates the need for a separate center bit, streamlining the drilling process on rough-in and service work.
Designed as a standard-attachment hole saw arbor compatible with hole saws having a minimum diameter of 9/16 inch and drills or drill presses equipped with a 3/8-inch chuck.
Insert the hex shank fully into the drill chuck and tighten securely before use. Thread the hole saw onto the arbor according to the saw manufacturer's instructions and confirm it is fully seated before cutting. Wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before beginning any hole saw operation. Disconnect power to the drill before changing or adjusting the arbor or saw.
