The VALUE COLLECTION BD3054 is a Type 27 depressed center grinding wheel designed for aggressive material removal on metal and masonry surfaces. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive bonded in a resinoid bond matrix, this wheel delivers consistent stock removal across a range of ferrous metals and general-purpose grinding applications. The coarse 24-grit designation and hard wheel grade make it well suited for weld grinding, deburring, and surface conditioning where fast cutting action is the priority. It is rated for a maximum of 13,300 RPM and mounts via a 7/8-inch arbor connector to standard angle grinders used by fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and maintenance tradespeople.
This wheel fits 4.5-inch angle grinders commonly found in fabrication shops, field pipework, structural steel work, and general industrial maintenance. The Type 27 raised-hub profile positions the grinding face at a low angle relative to the workpiece, which improves surface contact during flat or near-flat grinding passes. The 1/4-inch wheel thickness provides enough mass for sustained material removal without excessive flex. Each package contains one wheel, with a minimum order quantity of 25 units, making this wheel practical for shop stocking or job-lot purchasing.
Designed for use on 4.5-inch Type 27 angle grinders equipped with a 7/8-inch arbor spindle. Suitable for grinding ferrous metals, welds, and general-purpose surface preparation in fabrication and maintenance applications.
Grinding wheel installation and use should follow ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always confirm the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 13,300 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel before mounting. Disconnect and de-energize the angle grinder before changing wheels. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips prior to mounting, and perform a brief free-spin guard test before applying the wheel to the workpiece.
