The VALUE COLLECTION BD292 is a structural blind rivet designed for high-strength fastening applications where access is limited to one side of the workpiece. Featuring a large flange head with a 3/4 inch head diameter, this rivet distributes load across a wider surface area, reducing the risk of pull-through in softer or thinner base materials. The steel body provides the tensile strength required for structural joints in demanding environments. The grip range spans 1/8 inch minimum to 1/4 inch maximum, making it suitable for fastening material stacks within that thickness. This rivet is installed using a standard blind rivet pull tool and does not require rear access. Sold in a package of 25.
The BD292 rivet is used in structural assembly and repair applications across construction, HVAC equipment fabrication, electrical enclosure work, and general industrial maintenance. The large flange head style is particularly well suited for applications involving sheet metal, composite panels, or materials prone to surface damage from standard head profiles. Contractors, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with steel, aluminum, or mixed-material assemblies will find this rivet appropriate for single-side installation scenarios where a strong, vibration-resistant joint is required.
Designed as an OEM-style structural blind rivet compatible with standard 1/8 inch rivet hole diameters for use in sheet metal, panel, and structural fabrication applications where a large flange head profile is specified.
Installation requires a pull-type blind rivet tool sized for the rivet body diameter. Ensure the base material hole is properly sized and deburred before insertion to avoid incomplete mandrel pull-through. Inspect the set head and mandrel break point after each installation to confirm full structural engagement. Follow applicable structural and fastener standards for joint design and load requirements.
