The VALUE COLLECTION BD23549 is a black heat shrink sleeve designed to protect wire splices, terminations, and exposed conductors from moisture, abrasion, and electrical contact. With an inside diameter of 0.312 inches before shrinking and an overall length of 6 inches, this sleeve fits wire gauges from 12 AWG to 16 AWG. It applies using a heat gun or torch to form a tight, insulating layer over the connection. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use this type of sleeve as a standard step in any wiring job where a clean, protected finish is required.
This heat shrink sleeve is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, panel wiring, automotive harness repair, HVAC control wiring, and general equipment service. It works on copper and stranded conductors in the 12 to 16 AWG range. The 6-inch length provides enough coverage for most standard splice and termination points without trimming. Sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 2 units.
Designed as a general-purpose heat shrink sleeve compatible with copper and stranded wire in the 12 AWG to 16 AWG range, suitable for use in electrical, HVAC control, and low-voltage wiring applications.
Installation is performed by electricians or qualified service technicians following applicable NEC guidelines. Power down and de-energize the circuit completely before making any splice or termination. Slide the sleeve over the conductor before completing the connection, then apply even heat from a heat gun moving along the sleeve length to achieve uniform shrink. Avoid direct flame contact, which can cause uneven shrink or damage to the sleeve material.
