The VALUE COLLECTION BD23546 is a clear heat shrink sleeve designed to insulate and protect electrical wire splices, terminals, and connections. Measuring 6 inches in overall length, this tubing is compatible with wire gauges from 12 AWG to 10 AWG. When heat is applied, the sleeve contracts snugly around the conductor or splice to create a secure, insulating barrier. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use this type of sleeving during panel work, junction box terminations, and field wiring repairs where a clean, reliable insulation finish is required.
This heat shrink sleeve is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work. It fits wire sizes commonly found in branch circuit wiring and equipment connections. The clear color allows technicians to visually inspect the conductor or splice beneath the sleeve after installation, which is useful for quality checks in multi-wire assemblies and control wiring applications.
Designed as a general-purpose heat shrink sleeve for use with 12 AWG to 10 AWG conductors in standard electrical wiring and termination applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician. De-energize and lock out the circuit before handling any conductors or splices. Slide the sleeve over the conductor or splice before terminating, then apply even heat using a heat gun to shrink the tubing uniformly — avoid open flame. Refer to NEC guidelines for proper insulation and splicing requirements applicable to the installation environment.
