The VALUE COLLECTION BD-MP23564-1 is a wing-style twist-on wire connector rated for 12 to 6 AWG conductors, color-coded blue for quick field identification. Twist-on connectors of this type mechanically join two or more conductors by threading them together inside a coiled metal insert housed in a thermoplastic shell. The wing design adds grip surface so the connector can be seated and tightened by hand without a tool. This connector is sold in a 25-piece pack, making it practical for panel work, junction box terminations, and general branch-circuit splicing in residential and light commercial electrical work.
Blue twist-on connectors in the 12-6 AWG range are used wherever solid or stranded copper conductors need a reliable, code-acceptable mechanical splice. Typical applications include junction boxes, device boxes, fixture connections, and panel tap-offs in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring. Electricians reach for this size range when working with standard 15-amp and 20-amp branch circuits as well as heavier circuits using 10 or 6 AWG conductors. The 25-piece pack suits service calls and small rough-in jobs where carrying a full box is unnecessary.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use twist-on connector suitable for standard solid and stranded copper conductors in the 12 to 6 AWG range in residential and light commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 110 (conductors) and the applicable sections governing splices and junction boxes. De-energize and lock out the circuit at the breaker before making any splice. Strip conductors to the connector manufacturer-recommended length, hold conductors parallel, and rotate the connector clockwise until resistance is felt and the connector seats firmly with no bare conductor exposed below the shell. Do not use these connectors on aluminum conductors unless the connector is specifically rated for aluminum-to-copper or aluminum-to-aluminum use.
