The VALUE COLLECTION BD-C85867 is a fully insulated female wire disconnect designed for secure, push-on electrical terminations in low-voltage wiring applications. Built from blue nylon insulation over a standard 0.25 inch tab width contact, this disconnect accommodates 16-14 AWG wire and delivers a reliable mechanical and electrical connection in control circuits, HVAC wiring harnesses, appliance wiring, and general-purpose panel work. The nylon sleeve provides full insulation coverage over the crimp barrel and the mating tab contact, reducing the risk of incidental shorts in bundled wire runs. This package contains 50 pieces. The part carries both CSA Certification and UL Listing, meeting common North American wiring standards.
This female disconnect is suited to residential and light commercial applications where 16-14 AWG conductors terminate onto 0.25 inch male tab receptacles. Typical uses include HVAC control board wiring, thermostat and low-voltage circuit connections, appliance control harnesses, and electrical panel sub-assemblies. The blue color coding follows standard insulation color convention for the 16-14 AWG range, supporting fast identification during installation and service calls. Supplied in a 50-piece pack, the BD-C85867 is well-suited to technicians stocking a service van or completing multiple terminations on a single job.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose disconnect for applications using 0.25 inch male spade tab receptacles with 16-14 AWG conductors.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit completely before crimping or seating any terminal connector. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for insulated disconnects in the 16-14 AWG range to achieve a proper mechanical crimp. Do not attempt to solder over a crimped insulated terminal, as heat can damage the nylon sleeve and compromise the connection.
