The VALUE COLLECTION BD-29608 is a cartridge-style, fast-acting fuse rated at 8 amps and 600 volts with a 100 kiloamp (kA) interrupt capacity at AC. It measures 1.5 inches in overall length and 13/32 inch (approximately 0.406 inches) in diameter, fitting standard cartridge fuse holders used in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical panels. Fast-acting fuses respond immediately to overcurrent events, providing circuit protection without intentional delay. This type of fuse is installed by licensed electricians and qualified maintenance technicians working on branch circuits, control panels, motor control centers, and related electrical equipment requiring UL Listed and CSA Certified overcurrent protection.
This fuse is suited for use in branch circuit protection, feeder panels, disconnect switches, and control panel applications where a fast-acting response to overcurrent or short-circuit conditions is required. The 600-volt rating makes it appropriate for both single-phase and three-phase low-voltage distribution systems commonly found in light commercial and industrial settings. Electricians select this fuse size when the protected circuit load calls for an 8-amp rated overcurrent device with a compact cartridge form factor.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge fuse for standard 13/32-inch diameter fuse holders rated at 600 volts AC in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing fuses. Use an appropriately rated fuse puller when extracting cartridge fuses from live or recently energized holders to avoid arc flash exposure. Verify that the replacement fuse amperage, voltage, and interrupt rating match the requirements of the protected circuit before energizing.
