The VALUE COLLECTION BD-17442 is a liquidtight elbow strain relief cord grip designed to secure and protect electrical cables at conduit entry points. Constructed from iron and steel, this fitting accepts cables ranging from 0.375 to 0.5 inches in diameter and provides a watertight, strain-relieving connection where cables transition into enclosures, junction boxes, or conduit bodies. The elbow configuration allows routing cables at a 90-degree angle, reducing bend stress on conductors. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in applications where cable protection and moisture resistance are required at the point of entry.
This liquidtight elbow cord grip is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where cables must be managed at angled entry points on enclosures or conduit fittings. The liquid-tight conduit type makes it appropriate for damp or wet location wiring where standard straight cord grips are not practical. Each package includes 2 fittings, making it a convenient option for service calls or small panel and junction box work requiring multiple connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit cord grip for liquidtight conduit systems requiring elbow strain relief at cable entry points with a 0.375 to 0.5 inch cable range.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for strain relief and liquidtight fittings. De-energize all circuits before installing or replacing cord grips on any enclosure or conduit body. Ensure the cable diameter falls within the 0.375 to 0.5 inch capacity range before tightening the fitting to achieve proper strain relief and seal. Do not overtighten the fitting body, as this may damage the cable jacket or compromise the liquidtight seal.
