The VALUE COLLECTION BD-15889 is a wrot copper pipe reducer fitting used to transition between different pipe diameters within a copper piping system. Sized at 1 inch by 3/4 inch by 1 inch with a C x C x C (sweat) end connection on all three ports, this fitting is soldered in place by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Wrot copper construction provides consistent wall thickness and excellent corrosion resistance, making it well suited for potable water, hydronic heating, and light commercial plumbing applications. The fitting ships in a package quantity of two.

This reducer fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a 3/4-inch branch must be taken off a 1-inch main copper line while maintaining full 1-inch flow through the run. Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with IPC and local plumbing code requirements. All mating tube ends must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned with emery cloth before applying lead-free flux and solder. Avoid overheating the fitting during torch application, as excessive heat can damage the fitting socket and compromise the joint.
