The VALUE COLLECTION BD-12120 is a forged carbon steel pipe bushing with a black finish, designed to reduce a 1-inch NPT female fitting down to a 3/8-inch NPT male connection. Rated at Class 3000, this bushing handles demanding liquid and gas pressure applications up to 3000 psi. The black finish provides basic corrosion resistance for standard piping service. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this fitting in threaded piping systems where a concentric reducer bushing is needed at a branch or inline connection point.

This bushing is suited for residential and commercial piping systems carrying gas or liquid media where NPT threaded fittings are specified. Installation Notes

Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads before makeup, and tighten using pipe wrenches to a firm, leak-free fit. Do not overtighten forged fittings, as doing so can crack the fitting or damage mating threads.
