The VALUE COLLECTION B240 100X80 is a black malleable iron reducing coupling designed for threaded pipe connections in plumbing, industrial, and fire protection systems. It transitions from a 4-inch pipe to a 3-inch pipe using standard threaded end connections. Rated to 300 psi for liquid and gas service, this Class 150 fitting meets a broad set of international and domestic standards, making it suitable for demanding piping installations. The black finish is applied over the malleable iron body, providing a traditional appearance commonly specified in commercial and industrial pipework. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This reducing coupling is appropriate for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial piping systems where a threaded 4-inch-to-3-inch reduction is required. It is suited for applications involving water, gas, and compatible liquids within the rated pressure limits. The fitting carries multiple certifications including FM Approved, cULus Listed, ABNT Certified, EN 10242, GB/T 3287, GB/T 7306.2, ISO 7/1, and Enterprise Standard, making it a compliant choice for projects that require documented standards conformance across different regulatory environments.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded reducing coupling for 4-inch to 3-inch black iron pipe systems operating within Class 150 service conditions. Verify thread standard compatibility with the existing piping system before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes, IPC, and IFGC requirements where gas service is involved. Shut off all fluid or gas supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before make-up. Do not use pipe wrenches directly on the fitting body without proper jaw protection to avoid damaging the casting.
