The VALUE COLLECTION B10036 is a fully threaded stud with a 1/2-13 UNC thread form and an overall length of 3 inches. Fully threaded studs carry threads along the entire shank, eliminating a plain shoulder and allowing full thread engagement across the entire fastener length. This stud is manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance suitable for wet, outdoor, and chemically active environments. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors use fully threaded studs when assembling equipment frames, mounting panels, securing pipe hangers, or fastening components where a nut-on-both-ends configuration is required. Sold in a package of 10.
Fully threaded studs in 1/2-13 are a common fastener in light commercial and residential mechanical installations. They fit standard 1/2-13 hex nuts, coupling nuts, and flange nuts. Typical applications include equipment mounting, strut-channel assembly, pipe support systems, electrical panel securing, and general structural fastening where a bolt-head profile is undesirable or space-constrained. The 18-8 stainless steel grade is well suited for indoor plumbing chases, HVAC curb applications, and coastal or high-humidity environments where carbon steel fasteners would corrode prematurely.
Designed for use with standard 1/2-13 UNC hex nuts, coupling nuts, and washers in general mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical installation applications.
Installation is performed with standard 3/4-inch wrenches or sockets. Always ensure mating nuts are the correct thread class for 1/2-13 UNC to prevent cross-threading or galling, which is a particular concern with stainless steel fasteners. Apply an anti-seize compound to the threads when joining stainless steel to stainless steel components to reduce galling risk. Follow applicable mechanical codes and equipment manufacturer guidelines for torque requirements.
