The VALUE COLLECTION A997703 is a steel toggle bolt hollow wall anchor designed for secure fastening in drywall and other hollow wall materials. Each anchor accepts a 3/8-inch screw and spans wall thicknesses from 3/8 inch to 2-1/2 inches, making it a versatile choice across a wide range of installation depths. With a rated maximum load capacity of 1,745 pounds, this anchor delivers substantial holding strength for mounting brackets, fixtures, electrical enclosures, and mechanical components to hollow walls. The zinc finish provides corrosion resistance in typical indoor environments. This package contains 10 anchors. Note that screws are not included and must be sourced separately.
Toggle bolt anchors like the A997703 are commonly used by electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general contractors when securing equipment, conduit supports, pipe hangers, or equipment brackets to drywall or hollow partition walls. The 3/4-inch diameter toggle wing spreads the load across the back face of the wall cavity, distributing stress and preventing pull-through under load. This makes them well-suited for residential and light commercial interior applications where structural studs or solid backing are not accessible.
Designed for use in drywall and hollow wall assemblies with wall thicknesses ranging from 3/8 inch to 2-1/2 inches. Intended for use with a 3/8-inch screw fastener, which is not included.
Installation is performed by drilling an appropriately sized hole through the drywall, collapsing the toggle wing to feed it through the hole, then tightening the screw until the wing seats flush against the back face of the wall. Power down any electrical circuits in the work area before drilling near wall cavities to avoid contact with wiring. Use the correct drill bit diameter for the toggle wing being installed, and verify that the wall material and thickness fall within the specified range before applying load.
