The VALUE COLLECTION A98155 is a flat head machine screw designed for general-purpose fastening in metal, plastic, and composite assemblies. It features an 8-32 UNC thread with an overall length of 3/4 inches and is manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel for corrosion resistance in mildly harsh or moisture-prone environments. The pin-in Torx drive requires a matching security bit, making it suitable for tamper-resistant applications. This fastener ships in a package quantity of 50 and is used by electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general tradespeople wherever a small-diameter, corrosion-resistant machine screw is needed.
This screw is commonly used in electrical enclosures, control panels, HVAC equipment housings, and light mechanical assemblies. The flat head profile sits flush with or below the surface of a countersunk hole, making it appropriate where a low-profile finish is required. The 18-8 stainless steel construction performs well in indoor and outdoor applications with exposure to moisture, mild chemicals, or temperature variation. Each package contains 50 screws, suited to small-batch service work or stocking a parts inventory.
Designed as a standard 8-32 UNC machine screw for use wherever that thread size and a flat head, pin-in Torx drive are specified in metal or plastic assemblies.
Install with a pin-in Torx security bit of the appropriate size for the drive recess — a standard Torx bit without the center pin will not engage correctly. Ensure the mating hole is properly countersunk to the flat head angle before driving. Apply appropriate torque for the base material to avoid stripping the tapped hole, particularly in softer metals or plastics. No power-down or system isolation is required for the fastener itself, but always follow lockout/tagout procedures when working inside energized panels or equipment enclosures.
